CHEMKO

Chemical manufacturing in Strážske – today’s Chemko, a.s. Strážske began in 1952 with construction of a factory for the production of explosives and by-products for military and civilian purposes.

With changes on the market in 1990s the economically inefficient production of explosives ceased by the end of 2003 and finished completely on 1 January 2005.

At present, Chemko, a.s Slovakia – a subsidiary company – produces top inorganic and organic chemistry products, such as light stabilisers (e.g. Dastib) and related by-products and phenolic resins.

Service activities for chemical manufacturing at the Chemko plant and for external clients are provided by other subsidiaries. CHEMKO, Slovakia.
